- Hillside House Project hits the Santa Barbara Planning Commission this Thursday with the hopes that, although no formal action will be take, the public and expert's opinions may sway the board to moving forward. Hillside House provides a non-profit residential facility for people with developmental disabilities and has been trying for over a decade to no avail, partly because any widening of US Highway 101 brings with it endless red tape.
